Papercrafting Events & Products – Creative World & Paper World (Frankfurt, Germany – January 2014)
Steph attended Creative World | Paper World (#Creativeworld | #Paperworld) in Frankfurt, Germany from January 25-28, 2014.
It’s important to note that most booths did not allow photos to be taken unless the photographer was with the press.
Since Steph has been a freelance columnist and contributor in the industry for many years, she was provided with a press/media badge which enabled her to take photos, photos she’s sharing with you below!
A few more things about this event:
This event is quite different than most of the U.S.-based papercrafting industry events in that it’s much less about writing orders (although that’s still important!) and more about spending time getting to know each other – creating relationships and networking is a primary goal.
You’ll see evidence of this in the booths: set-ups for coffee and tea, and beer and wine, are not uncommon!
You’ll also see different types of crafts on display (for instance, quilling is much bigger in Europe than in the U.S.) and see how trends are interpreted by different countries and cultures (look for amazing papers from Italian companies and wonderful items from Japan).
While Steph was not able to “live Tweet” from the show-floor at this event due to connectivity issues, she usually shares shots and thoughts from these events LIVE via Twitter so be sure to follow PaperCrafter’s Corner on Twitter if you want to see events like these shared LIVE!
