Washi Tape Wednesdays: Let’s Go Shopping!
Washi collecting – we’re sharing our favorite sources and brands & asking for yours!
Ready for our next Washi Tape Wednesdays post?
I must admit that I really look forward to this post each week now – hopefully you do too!!!
Today we’ll be focusing on sources for scoring awesome washi – my favorite supply!
And, we’ll be sharing our favorite brands of washi.
Why is washi my favorite papercrafting supply?
Because, quite honestly, it’s a super inexpensive purchasing high! 😉
And, it’s so dang versatile!
It’s great for adding a little something to scrapbook layouts, cards and envelopes, art journal pages, mixed media projects, home decor items, office supplies and a whole lot more!
But before we get started,
what do YOU want to know about washi?
(Besides how to get your hands on more, more, more!)
Share your thoughts in the comments
and we’ll do our best to oblige!
You might just
WIN some wonderful washi
just for doing so!
Washi Shopping Source #1:
Have you ever checked out CuteTape.com?
I came across this site and fell in love!
And if you’ve shopped there, you know why!
Here are just a few of the many wonderful washi tapes they have on offer…
I LOVE this washi – it’s so delicate and feminine.
OK, this is absolutely on my wish list!
And finally, take a peek at this one, the Thank You Around the World washi:
How cute would this be on an envelope or on gift wrap?
Another one added to my wish list!
Washi Shopping Source #2: Scrapbook.com
If you’ve never shopped at Scrapbook.com, you are in for a treat!
Yes, we are an affiliate* for them, but I look there first before shopping anywhere else online and I would NOT do so if I didn’t think they had a great selection, reasonable prices, and lots of the latest and greatest papercrafting supplies.
So how many different washi tape options will you find at my go-to spot for papercrafting supplies?
As of today, 649 options!!!
Uh yeah, that’ll keep you busy for a while. 🙂
*We are an affiliate for Scrapbook.com – this means we may receive a commission on any sales that result from your making a purchase after clicking on the links (like the link above) that we provide you. You don’t pay any more for items than if you went to their site directly, and these small commissions enable us to keep providing you with all we offer – for FREE! We greatly appreciate the support you show us by using our links. 🙂
Here are a few of my favs from Scrapbook.com…
Let’s start with washi tape sheets from Simple Stories:
These are short strips of washi on cards that are perfect for taking with you when you travel or craft away from home.
And, they provide a great selection of washi in a very small space, great for those who have limited crafting supply storage.
They’re super easy to store!
Next up we have another option, washi stickers from Pink Fresh Studio:
These washi stickers are another great option for creating on the go.
Note that there are 24 stickers in this pack – woohoo!
Another fun option?
How cute are these?!
I love the idea of a roll of washi that’s die-cut – you too?
Be sure to watch the video of Shimelle showing off her collection (link above, tape shown at 4:41) and you’ll see exactly what this washi (and the rest of her newest collection) looks like.
OK, how many of you are fans of the ‘sketch’ look?
I sure am and this washi option from American Crafts is awesome!
Check out American Crafts‘ Hall Pass washi:
I just love the look of this – it’s perfect for art journal pages, cards and scrapbook layouts – and might even look great colored in!
And finally, check out these fun options:
This bundle of polka dot washi from Doodlebug Designs is so sweet – now you’ve got a color for every project!
And oh my, just look at this washi from Prima Marketing!
And last, but not least, if you’re ‘illustrating your faith,’ then this new Illustrating Your Faith ‘Grace’ washi from Bella Blvd. might just be what you’re looking for:
Washi Shopping Source #3:
And our final source for today?
A source that’s new to me and may soon be a fav of yours!
I recently attended the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas and came across this washi company while briefly visiting the vendor area.
When I stopped by their booth and told them about PCC, they handed me a catalog and a discount code for YOU!
The company is Alton Tape and you can save 15% off online orders by visiting their site – www.gowashi.com – and using the code GASC2016 through June 30, 2016.
How fun is that?
And just wait till you see their tapes, especially the fabric tapes – yeehaw!
This one shown above – fabric washi SKU CT006 – is just one of the many fabric tapes they stock.
Whew! I’m worn out from all this washi wonderfulness!
We hope you enjoyed today’s Washi Tape Wednesdays post and all the options for building your washi stash.
Oh yeah, and if you make a purchase from GoWashi.com or from any of the sources we’ve shared today, please share your haul – we’d love to see what you picked out!
