Okay, this is just silly gossip, but… it's Atlanta scrapbook related, so I figure I'm allowed a "pass" to pass along the juicy stuff just this once ….
I first learned of this on the Two Peas messageboard last week. And it's been lighting up scrapbook blogs nationwide since then. (I just wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't pass it along to you, right?)
Apparently, the Advantus reps at the recent Atlanta Scrapbook Expo did something a little strange. As reported by Lauren Ferguson of www.everythingaltered.com, she was getting ready to leave Scrapbook Expo on Saturday evening, Jul 11, when she noticed that the guys from the Advantus booth were dumping all of the left-over Heidi Swapp product into a dumpster! Not only that, but they then dumped tons of paint all over the product — why? One can only suppose that it was to prevent dumpster diving. Lauren asks some good questions on her site here, such as why they didn't just donate it to charity? With so many individuals and companies struggling these days, doesn't that just seem spiteful & wasteful?
Read Lauren's story, and you'll be just as puzzled as the rest of us!
