Week 169’s Papercrafting Inspiration:
What do you think of our newest
magazine inspiration piece?
I chose this magazine because it represents how I feel
about each and every one of you –
you’ll always have a special place in my heart,
even when I can’t be here to hang out and create with you.
I’ve sure missed y’all and hope you’re all finding time to create.
We hope this week’s cover inspires you to create,
whether or not you decide to submit what you create.
This week’s magazine cover/layout offers:
- A fancy hand-drawn typeface
- A sectioned black box
- A soft, creamy background
- A ‘distressed’ heart
- A ‘devilish’ looking lady
- A mention of Paris
- Curved ‘feelers’ – or are they insects?
- Stripes
- A date
- An edition number
- A signature name
- And, perhaps you see something else?
What will YOU create this week?
The Deadline & Creative Options:
The deadline for submitting your papercraft projects this week is
Sunday, April 9, 2017, at midnight (central, GMT-5).
The ONLY requirements for entering this week’s
Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge
are that your entry must be a papercraft project –
it must somehow incorporate paper –
and it must be submitted by the deadline.
As a reminder, this papercrafting challenge is open to
ALL types of papercrafted creations!
And, it’s open to ALL papercrafters,
wherever you are in the world!
This Week’s Papercrafting Challenge
No matter what kind of papercrafting you’re into – scrapbooking, cardmaking, mixed media, art journaling or decor creation, or paper-folding, paper-cutting or paper sculpture – it’s easy to participate and we’d love to have you join us!
Love this week’s inspiration for a Project Lifeยฎ or 365 entry or page? Start creating!
Whether you like to create “repurposed” projects out of paper products, or prefer book-binding, quilling or origami, or some other form of papercrafting, it’s all welcome!
And, we’d love to inspire you to try something new – a new type of papercrafting, new tools, new supplies, new ideas, etc.!
Stretch your creative muscle a bit, won’t you?
Playing along with this week’s papercrafting challenge is easy:
- Go create something – any papercraft project – based on this week’s inspiration (above)
- Come back to this post and leave a comment, including a link to where you’ve posted your papercraft creation, by midnight (central time, GMT-5) on Sunday, April 9, 2017. ***(Note: be sure your papercraft creation is not blocked from being ‘copied’ or pinned if you want it added to our entries and winner post and our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board.)***
- Then come back to this post and see if YOUR name was drawn as this week’s papercrafting challenge winner!
Don’t forget, if YOU win, you’ll not only win fab and fun papercrafting goodies, your winning entry will be called out as ***THE WINNER*** on our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board, and a link to YOUR entry will forever live in our Facebook timeline!

What is Magazine Mondays All About?
It’s a dose of papercrafting inspiration courtesy of magazines.
We’ll be offering you peaks at their covers, pages, layouts, topics, typography and colors in hopes of inspiring you to create.
And, most importantly, it’s a chance for you to show off your papercraft creations and win fun papercrafting prizes!
PaperCrafter’s Corner (PCC) has long been known as an awesome papercrafting information resource (store, event, retreat and kit club directories; industry news; product roundups, etc.) and provider of entertainment (product sneak peeks, challenges, giveaways, etc.).
And we want to be YOUR number-one source of inspiration…more specifically, papercrafting inspiration!
Magazine Mondays – How To Play Along
Most Mondays we’ll post a magazine cover, page or related project here on our blog and encourage you to use it as inspiration to create something of your very own.
You’ll create something (ANYTHING papercrafted) and add a comment on the blog post, including a link to your inspired papercraft creation, before midnight (central time, GMT-5) the following Sunday.
Please note: Some challenges include special requirements in order for your entry to be eligible to win – be sure to check for these and include them!
We’ll “pin” each week’s magazine – as well as everyone’s creations – to our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board to provide even more inspiration for our community.
And the best part?
One lucky winner
(chosen randomly from all entries received
by midnight [central time, GMT-5]
of the Sunday following the inspiration piece posting)
will receive a prize for participating!
And, the winner will get to see
her/his papercraft creation called out as
***THE WINNER*** on our
Magazine Mondays Pinterest board!
Play Along and Good Luck!

Hoping to play. So excited to see you back! Hugz!
Thanks, Suzi – it’s great to have a bit of time to get this next challenge posted.
I hope to have a bit of time to do at least this each week.
Hugs back!
Steph
It’s wonderful to have you back Steph ๐
Here is my card for MM Week 169 – https://tracyscraftyadventures.blogspot.com.au/2017/04/crafty-gals-corner-challenge-117-3.html
I was inspired by how the woman is nestled within the decadent chocolate heart … my witch is tucked deeply within the layers of oval frames, not quite as tasty but it sure makes for fun dimension.
Tracy,
Thanks, it’s good to be back!
Thanks for playing along again this week and good luck!
Steph
Interesting cover
Hopefully ‘interesting’ in a good way!
Steph
I’m so happy you’re back! https://scrapcloset.blogspot.com/2017/04/pcc-169.html
Aw thank, JPSCRAPS – me too!
Steph
I am so happy to see that you are back at it.
I was inspired by the colors, heart, chevron lines and devilish gleam in her eyes, I hope that you enjoy my creation.

Janis,
Thanks, it’s good to be back!
Steph
I posted this last night but evidently something went awry so I am posting it again.
I was inspired by the paper, the heart, chevron lines and the devilish gleam in her eyes.

Sue,
Thanks for joining in – good luck!

Here I am, bad habits and all. Finishing up last minute. But it’s not my fault, really! :o) Welcome back, fellow crafters. A huge welcome back, Steph! I’ve missed you! https://godisgodandiamblessed.blogspot.com/2017/04/papercrafters-corner-magazine-monday-169.html
Suzi,
Well, I am the LAST person to tease you about being last-minute!
I’m just glad you’re participating.
BTW, thanks so much for your lovely card – it made my day!
I sure hope your recovery speeds itself along.
Hugs,
Steph
Here goes. Creating the page using your inspiration is the easy part for me. It’s figuring out how to make sure I post it and link it properly that took even longer!
I was inspired by the torn paper and the model on the inside along with her hairstyle and earrings.

Karen,
Welcome to the challenge! We’re happy you joined in.
Good luck,
Steph
Squeaking in with a last-minute entry: https://herpeacefulgarden.blogspot.com/2017/04/classy-vintage-lady-birthday-card.html
I was inspired by the swanky lady and the “horns”…..which I interpreted as tendrils. ๐
Thank you for this fun challenge!!!
