Sarah has created three beautiful tags inspired by our golden images. Check out what she has to say below!
The fun thing about gold is that it can refined and sophisticated, or relaxed and kitschy. Gold is a colour I frequently choose to use in small amounts or as accents, seldom the main focus of my project. I chose to create a set of tags for this weeks theme. A fun tag is a great way to dress up a simple package or to give instead of a card.
I dry embossed each of my tags with a different embossing folder, sprayed with gold mist and ran a white ink pad over the raised pattern to give each lots of depth and visual interest. I pulled out my gold embellishments and created 3 different tags.
My current favourite technique is heat embossing on vellum. (A great way to add a gold touch can be with the sentiment.) Creating tags is also a great way to use up some favourite bits and piece that you just don’t want to give up!
