EMI Scrapbooking announced on their store blog on Tuesday, November 24th, that Donna Downey is coming to teach a class for them in January. How exciting!
You may remember Donna from her days with Simple Scrapbooks magazine. On her blog, she describes herself as "a bestselling author, instructor and all-around creative force in the crafting industry." Her blog also describes her as being "consistently on the leading edge of all things cool related to memory preservation art…"
Donna will be teaching a fabric scrapbooking class at EMI entitled, "Gotta Love the Everyday." The class features an 8×8 20 page canvas album. Donna describes the class on her blog by saying:
"Fabric Scrapbooking is an exploration in melding the best of the paper world with the best of the fabric world to create one of the most outstandingly visual and completely tactile memory album experiences. Filled with dozens of techniques and applications for using my new Fabric scrapbooking line just released with Prima, in this workshop, you will create this album using the entire line of products at your fingertips. And best of all, NO SEWING NECESSARY! but be sure and bring an apron because we are going to have some messy and creative FUN!!"
EMI has a few "sneak peek" pictures of the album on their blog here.
The class is scheduled for Saturday, January 9th, 2010 from 10am – 4pm. Cost is $85 and includes all materials for the album. As of Saturday, November 28th, there were only 4 remaining spots available so if you're interested, be sure to call EMI right away!
