Did you go to the Savvy Scrapper Scrapbook Sale today? (The sale was originally announced on PCC here and posted on our Consignment Sales page here.) Sellers were able to shop last night (jealous!) but the rest of us started our shopping at 10am this morning.
The sale was held at the organizer's home in Marietta. (She cleared out ALL of the furniture from 3+ rooms of her home into the garage to make way for the scrapbook sale items.) Everything was super organized — Items were categorized & subcategorized. Walking into the sale, you knew which way to head first! Here are a couple of shots of the sale at organizer CarrieAnne's home:
Prices were good, though not unbelievable. I imagine sellers snapped up some of the cheapest bargains last night. There were cutting boards, gypsy's, cricut carts, SU stamp sets, CTMH stamp sets, patterned paper, cardstock, storage items, etc. I didn't find the Crop-A-Dial from my wish list, but I did manage to spend $20. (Pic of my loot below.) (My biggest purchase was a "ribbon ring" starter set for $7 which would cost me about $35 online. My biggest bargain was probably the pack of 25 pieces of navy blue textured cardstock for $2.)
Here's the intriguing part: Tomorrow (Sat) most items will be 50% off the original sale price. Half off the listed prices actually would have made for some unbelievable bargains…. Hmmm… I can't decide if another trip to East Cobb is in order for tomorrow….
Messageboard "gossip" (here) indicated that checkout didn't go smoothly last year. However, CarrieAnne made some changes after the last sale, including barcoded price tags, and it was very well organized & quick this year!
Were you able to attend? If so, share with us what you found. What did you like? What didn't you? As soon as we have a recap from CarrieAnne, we'll share it as well.
~See you tomorrow at the 1/2 price sale! (?) ~
