Breaking news from Tattered Angels!
Tattered Angels announced via their email newsletter that they will not be exhibiting at CHA Summer 2011 this July in Rosemont, IL! See their announcement below…
After much evaluation and discussion, we have decided that Tattered Angels, Inc. will not be hosting their own booth at the Craft and Hobby Association Summer 2011 Show in Chicago. Wendy Senger, CEO & Founder, will be available in other booths to educate and promote products developed through our partnership with other manufacturers in the Color Connectionsâ„¢ alliance.
There were many considerations that went into the decision to not host our own booth, but in the end the determining factor was a desire to focus our time and energies on activities we feel best serve our customers and end consumers. Some of these activities include:
· We will be attending the Crafter's Home event on July 17th, 2011 prior to Summer CHA where will highlight some of our new products and be taking orders.
· Expanding our successful Color Connections™ alliances and product lines.
· Increasing the number and scope of tutorial videos and other valuable educational tools on our website.
· Pursuing our strategy to develop the usage of Tattered Angels™ products beyond the paper market, which will involve attending trade shows in other crafting markets. All four of our product lines; Glimmer Mist™, Glimmer Mist Chalkboard™, Glimmer Glam™ and Glimmer Glaze™ deliver an outstanding look on wood, metal, fabric, glass and a host of other crafting surfaces.
We realize that our customers have come to expect to see Tattered Angelsâ„¢ at Summer CHA, receive show discounts and specials and gain the latest education on use of our paints. We will continue to promote and offer the discounts and education we have traditionally provided during this time of year. We will be providing these through other means around the time of the Summer CHA show. We also feel it is equally important that we provide an opportunity to meet with our customers in-person to discuss business building opportunities, so the Tattered Angels' Sales Team will be attending this year's Summer CHA in Chicago and scheduling appointments, as in the past.
We look forward to participating in the CHA Winter 2012 Show. We are confident that our approach to the CHA Summer 2011 Show is the right course of action to enable Tattered Angelsâ„¢ to best serve the needs of our customers and end-consumers as well as allow us to grow in other markets. We look forward to working with you to make 2011 another record year for your sales of Tattered Angels products.
What do we make of this????????
Four thoughts come immediately to my mind: (1) Is this a "slam" to CHA? (2) Isn't this a huge compliment to Crafter's Home? (3) What does this say about Tattered Angels overall? (4) After the lackluster feedback / response from CHA Winter 2011, I wonder if others are considering similar decisions?
What are *your* thoughts?
