What year is it? Are the late 90's / early 2000's in style again?
I received a package in the mail last week from CK Media circa 2001. The packaged was actually postmarked 2009, but it came to me through a time warp and had a CK logo I hadn't seen in years.
CK was advertising their "Fun with Photos, Memories & More" package… 12 idea cards for "just" $8.95 (plus shipping) every three weeks.
Check out a few of the included sample idea cards featuring scrapbook techniques like:
and Paper Crumpling…
…and Fill-In Lettering….
Perhaps the most tempting part of the offer was the 2 free bonus gifts. Check out the decorative edge scissors and the black bubble-letter stickers…
Now, I am anything but a scrapbook snob. My pages are pretty simple compared to all of the fabulous techniques I see at crops and in magazines. I still like the pages I made in 2001 & 2002 that feature mulberry papers, my crimper, torn edges and sticker vignettes. I still buy stickers & use my Crop in Style sticker binder.
But seriously CK? Really? This is what you're selling these days? We have several scrapbook consignment & garage sales coming up soon and I am SURE that the papers, tools and embellishments we see at those sales will be fresher than these idea cards & gifts!
Maybe they ran across these in a corner of Becky Higgins' office as she was cleaning out to go 🙂
