Okay, gang. I headed out to Carrollton today to check out Sweet Memories. First, let me say that it is the CUTEST scrapbook store I have ever seen. Seriously. Even their bathroom is cute! When I commented on wonderful it was, Erin one of the owners, said that since they'd only gotten back from CHA last night at 11pm, the store normally looked even better! Check it out:
And that's just a quick snapshot I took with zero staging. Adorable!
But Sweet Memories isn't just cute & sweet. They have great stuff, including the latest & greatest. In fact, they brought back brand new stuff from CHA and will be getting it out on the floor soon. (By the way, they also carry some product lines that big "A" in Kennesaw & Buford doesn't carry :) In addition to the latest & greatest, they have two full racks of open stock card stock — both Bazzill and American Crafts. (As a point of reference, I noticed that their Bazzill regular price per sheet was 55 cents/ea.)
Erin says they have customers drive from all over the place just to visit their store, including some regulars from Macon, Birmingham, and even NE Atlanta! Their regular crop space holds 8 people and fills quickly for crops & classes. Lately, they've been able to rent an open space two doors down in the same shopping center just for crops & special events, and they are seeing 25 people at practically every crop. (No wonder they are renting the Villa Rica Civic Center for their upcoming birthday bash on August 15/16.)
Clearly, owners (mother & daughter) Carolyn & Erin are doing something right 🙂
One point of warning. Mapquest and GPS will have you driving around your elbow to get to your thumb. Erin is going to post some better directions on their site telling the best way to get to the store. Until she has a chance to do that (because they are super busy right now), be sure to call the store to get directions before you head out.
