A Sketch Challenge Example
PCC Creative Squad member Sarah Webb enjoys sketch challenges. One of her favorite sketch challenge blogs is Creative Scrappers, and here is their sketch challenge for this week ….. (Sketch created by Jenny Evans) …

And here is Sarah’s take on the sketch ….

How does Sarah tackle a sketch challenge? Here is what Sarah says:
When I have a sketch to work with, I always decide first what picture(s) I want to scrap. I often modify my take on a sketch to multi-photo, but I wanted this photo to stand on it’s own. I then pull out paper and embellishments that I think will suit the layout and the theme I have in mind.
I chose to incorporate my wave border punch, summer journaling tags and little clear gems to tie together the page without overwhelming the picture. I tend to enjoy white space, so I kept my page pretty open.
Just lovely! For many, following a sketch takes the design pressure out of the process, and leaves you the chance to focus on the fun, extra details …. like these ….

Are you a sketch challenge fan? If you’ve not tried one before, has Sarah inspired you to?
I encourage you to try a sketch challenge to take for a whirl! Check the challenge sites listed above or the challenge listings at ScrapChallenge.com to find one that’s calling your name!
