Scrap n' Art is a global scrapbooking & paper craft online magazine (e-zine) based out of Marietta, GA. The magazine has been in business since Februrary 2008 and boasts more than 15,000 followers and 100,000 hits to their site each month.
PaperCrafter's Corner learned yesterday that Executive Editor and Director of Advertising CarrieAnne Deloach has resigned. When asked about her resignation, her future plans, and Scrap n' Art's future without her, CarrieAnne had this to say:
I am very proud of what I accomplished with Scrap n' Art Magazine. The rebranding and new structure of the publication has gone smoothly and were two of the key missions to be completed when I was offered the the Executive Editor position. Scrap n' Art continues to maintain an excellent staff and they have placed a solid transition system in place to ensure continuity of service to both their readership and featured companies. Their designers create beautiful art and the Scrap n' Art staff are a dedicated and close knit group. Though it is flattering to suggest that my departure may somehow influence the magazine's future success, I don't foresee that being the case.
I have been offered a position as the President of Couture Cardstock, a new division of the Cardstock Warehouse. We will be offering over 200 different paper options from textured cardstock to vellum in 8.5×11, 12×12 and other less common sizes. Our paper is proudly manufactured in the USA, made of 100% recycled materials, and is acid and lignin free. We are in the process of launching a world class website where our amazing prices (20% lower than our competitors) and fun collections (who wouldn't want to scrap with papers named "Tease, Coquette, and Temptress") will be available directly to the consumer. Our cardstock comes in three weights to maximize functionality. We have a perfect weight and shade for every altered art, gift creating, card making and scrapbookig layout you can think of. Readers and local scrapbookers interested in getting their hands on pre-launch samples and orders can contact me at [email protected]. We will be annoucing a Design Team call very soon so I will keep PaperCrafter's Corner posted!
We wish CarrieAnne the best of luck with Courture Cardstock. We can't wait to learn more about the product & company. Couture Cardstock is busy putting the finishing touches on their new website now. They hope to go live in 4-6 weeks. PaperCrafter's Corner will keep you posted.
Meanwhile, we also wish the best to Scrap n' Art as they transition CarrieAnne's responsibilities to others.
