Product Stalking Update: Ranger / Tim Holtz Distress Markers

Distress Markers are HOT right now!

Unsurprisingly, Ranger completely SOLD OUT of these markers faster than they’d projected ;) Here’s a quote from the Ranger blog yesterday (Friday):

It has been 3 weeks since we returned from CHA and the response to our new products has been very positive – thank you!   It goes without saying that the demand for the new Distress Markers has been overwhelming and as a result we are currently out of stock.  Rest assured that we have ramped up production and are working hard to replenish our stock.  We expect to start shipping again to Retailers on or around March 15th .  Our policy is to ship to customers on a first come, first served basis.  Retailers who have recently placed orders for the markers need not worry as we expect to receive new Distress Marker inventory approximately every 10 business days to satisfy the current demand.

We apologize for the delays and appreciate your patience.  Thank you for your continued support for Ranger.

What are Distress Markers?

If you’ve been under a rock & you aren’t familiar with this new product line, here’s a link to our original “sneak peek” post of the Distress Markers shared in January. Even better, a video from CHA created by my friend Susanna Boyd from Paper Craft Planet showing Tim Holtz demonstrating the markers…

Where Can You Find Distress Markers?

So WHO has the Distress Markers and who doesn’t? Many of those store owners who didn’t receive shipments, well, let’s say they are less than pleased. (Can you blame them?) So far, we are hearing reports of Distress Markers appearing at various independent scrapbook & stamp stores nationwide, including ….

Of course, this is not a complete list! These are just some shout-outs from stores who have hit our radar screen :) Feel free to chime-in over on this facebook post or via the comments on this post if you’d like.

As of this blog posting, Distress Markers are not yet in stock at Scrapbook.com, Simon Says Stamp or at Two Peas. They are, however, available for pre-order via Simon Says Stamp here.

Does this remind anyone of the Tickle Me Elmo shortage of Christmas 1996?  Maybe we should have entitled this blog post, “What do Tim Holtz and Tickle Me Elmo have in common?” Ha, can you imagine? ;)
