Papercrafting with JBS Mercantile – Our Winner!
As some of you may remember, I recently spent the weekend at one of the country’s largest antiquing and junkin’ festivals, Texas Antique Week.
All I can say is if you’re into antiquing and/or junkin’, you simply must attend at least once!
I hope to share pix of my finds in the coming weeks (now that our new photo studio is complete!).
And, there may even be a vintage giveaway included…just sayin’…
One of the best aspects of these junkin’ events (for me) is finding vintage items I can use in papercrafting projects.
There are so many treasures to be found, many of which make it into my shopping cart…and some of which I have to, sadly, leave behind.
What are my favorite finds?
Vintage scrapbooks (especially those filled with actual “scraps of life!”), vintage pins and buttons (especially the bakelight buttons and those with elaborate texture), paper ephemera (old receipts and business cards being two favorites) and office supplies and tools (I’m still on the hunt for a vintage stapler, a tall one with the round button-shaped top).
You may recall that Jenni Bowlin is a lady after my own heart – she also loves locating wonderful vintage finds.
One major difference between us though is that she recreates a lot of what she finds, creating a wealth of vintage finds, under the JBS Mercantile brand, which we papercrafters can now buy from our local and online retailers.
And, she made a collection her newest vintage items available to ONE lucky PaperCrafter’s Corner papercrafter!
So, who’s the lucky papercrafter who’s going to receive a collection of Jenni’s JBS Mercantile goodies?
We have chosen a winner, but first let’s take one more look at all the new vintage creations Jenni announced…
First up…Mini Deck Card Sets
(Layout by Harumi Hagawara)
These could be used in so many different ways!
Imagine them in a Project Life album or a back-to-school mini album – perfect!
Or, perhaps as the basis for a mini album, with a binder ring in one corner?
(Layout by Louise Nelson)
If you’re a fan of flair, these are for you!
Remember, True Vintage is made from real vintage materials.
Each one will always be unique!
Third in line…Rub-Ons
(Layout by Amanda Jones)
The popular JBS Mercantile Rub-Ons are made in the USA and have a high-quality, metallic finish.
I am going to grab a few sets to use in my daughter’s wedding album and the banners will definitely be making an appearance in my Project Life album.
How about you? How would you use these?
And fourth in the line-up…Stencils
(Layout by Leah Farquharson)
I picked up the North Star stencil and can’t wait to use it on my next papercrafting project!
I can think of many uses for all of these – how about you?
Which one’s your favorite?
And last, but not least…Sequins!
(by Gina Rodgers)
How about adding some of these to a December Daily page or two?
After all, who doesn’t need a little blingey pick-me-up when the stress of the holidays creeps in?
So, what do ya think?
Great stuff, right?
You can now find these new, fresh vintage designs
at the JBS Mercantile Retail Site!
So, who won?
