Papercrafting Inspiration: Magazine Mondays – Week Thirteen

Happy Monday Papercrafters!

I hope you all had a great weekend.

I have been on the road for the last 2 1/2 weeks and was very happy to sleep in my own bed last night!

What do you have planned for the 4th of July holiday?

It’s hard to believe, but we are already on week 13 of our Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge!

We’ve had some wonderful submissions and all of our winners are enjoying playing with the papercrafting prizes – will you be next?

This week’s magazine….

What are you focused on?

  • the large headline
  • the subhead
  • the grid design
  • the block of text
  • the bright colors
  • the foods of summer
  • or, perhaps something else?

We look forward to seeing what YOU create this week!

Not sure how to use this page as inspiration?
Simply leave a comment (comment link above) and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Important Note

We’ve changed the rules a bit:

The deadline for submitting your papercraft projects is now Saturdays (instead of Fridays) at midnight (central). That means you have an additional day to create, submit and WIN!

And, as a reminder, this papercrafting challenge is not just open to cards or scrapbook layouts (which have both been popular entry categories), but to ALL papercrafted creations!

How about creating something for your home or office or as a gift?

Whether you like to make home decor items, work in your art journal, create “repurposed” projects out of paper products, make cards, enjoy creating scrapbook layouts, or prefer book-binding, quilling or origami, or some other form of papercrafting, it’s all welcome! Love this week’s inspiration for a Project Life or 365 entry or page? Create and enter that!

The ONLY requirements for entering the Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge are that your entry must be a papercraft project – it must somehow incorporate paper – and that it must be submitted by the deadline.

Playing along with this papercrafting challenge is easy:

  • Go create something – any papercraft project – based on this week’s inspiration (above)
  • Come back to this post and leave a comment, including a link to where you’ve posted your papercraft creation, before midnight (central time) on Saturday, July 6th, 2013.
  • Check back often to see what others have created and posted (and show your fellow papercrafters love by commenting on their creations!)

We’ll be checking the comment section of this blog post daily for comments and links to papercrafting goodness, and we’ll pin all the creations to our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board and link to them on our Facebook page at the end of the week so everyone can be inspired. (Note: be sure your papercraft creation is not blocked from being pinned if you want it added to our board; we can’t pin images on Flickr, sorry.)

Then, on Sunday, July 7th, we’ll randomly choose one participant from the previous week’s papercraft entries to receive a fun prize!

And, their winning entry will be the cover image for our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board until the next magazine inspiration piece is posted, and a link to their entry will forever live in our Facebook timeline!

Having a hard time remembering to check our blog for each week’s inspiration piece?

(Plus, a bunch of fun shares each day)

Have a great week and happy papercrafting!

What is Magazine Mondays All About?

It’s a weekly dose of papercrafting inspiration courtesy of magazines. We’ll be offering you peaks at their covers, pages, topics, typography, colors and type in hopes of inspiring you to create.

And, most importantly, it’s a chance for you to show off your papercraft creations and win fun papercrafting prizes!

PaperCrafter’s Corner (PCC) has been known for being a papercrafting information resource (store, event, retreat and kit club directories; industry news; product roundups, etc.) and provider of entertainment (product sneak peeks, challenges, giveaways, etc.).

Now we want to become your number-one source of inspiration…more specifically, papercrafting inspiration!

Magazine Mondays – How To Play Along

Each Monday we’ll post a magazine here on our blog and encourage you to use it as inspiration to create something of your very own.

You’ll create something (ANYTHING papercrafted) and add a comment on the blog post, including a link to your inspired papercraft creation, before midnight (central time) the following Saturday.

We’ll “pin” each week’s magazine – as well as everyone’s creations – to our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board to provide even more inspiration for our community.

And, we’ll link to all the creations from our Facebook page so everyone following our Facebook timeline can click through and see the creations our community has shared!

And the best part?

One lucky winner
(chosen randomly from all entries received by midnight [central time]
of the Saturday following the inspiration piece posting)
will receive a prize for participating!

And, the winner will get to see her/his papercraft creation on the cover
of our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board until the following challenge

Play along and Good Luck!

Of course we would love to have you join in again, but I understand if you are busy with company.

After all, we have to make memories in order to scrap them and keep our relationships alive if we want to have anyone to send cards too, right? 😉

Enjoy your holiday week and company,

Lots to get inspired by in this challenge. Loving the light summer colors and that block of text. Thinking cap on and ready to create!

    Hi Steph,
I don’t have a blog so I have been linking up to Flickr but I am wondering if there is another way I should link my photo so that it shows up in your post the following week when you show the entries? Thanks!

    • Stephanie Hackney says

You can post the picture someplace where I can grab it (if you post it to Pinterest, I can pin it and right-click on it to grab it as an image). Or, you can send it to me in an email.

Thanks for submitting another fun entry. If you send the image to me I can share it like I do the others.

Email: shackney {at} papercrafterscorner {dot} com.

      Thanks, Steph
