Papercrafting Gratitude: Thankful Thursdays – Week Three
Papercrafting Gratitude – what are YOU thankful for?
We’re focusing on all we have to be grateful for and invite you to share what you’re thankful for too!
This was scheduled to go out yesterday, or so I thought!
I put the wrong date in, but hey, better late than never.
Each week we’re “practicing” being thankful by dedicating time to considering all we have to be thankful for, and sharing it during Thankful Thursdays.
And some of us are papercrafting our gratitude – will you?
Please join in as often as you are able to.
For those who missed the
Thankful Thursdays | The Be Thankful Project launch post,
please check it out and then come on back and join in.
Time for sharing…
First, I’m thankful that our medical stuff has finally calmed down a bit. Yay!
I am so very thankful for all the support I, and we, have been shown during the last few months and we’re getting a chance to say thanks to those who really stepped up during the thick of it (more on those folks in a minute).
And, I’m hugely thankful for our medical insurance. I honestly don’t know what we’d have done without it!
I’m also thankful for the ability to travel, and to visit with friends and family.
I’ve been on the road since early this month, first for business (stay tuned for another store profile!) and then for some quality time with some of the wonderful folks I mentioned above.
First stop: a beautiful couple of days in the San Francisco area and a visit with one of my oldest friends (we’ve known each other since I was 9 and she was 10!) in my old stomping grounds.
Second stop: hanging with my Dad and stepmom (at the beach!), and a quick visit with my step-sister and niece and nephew.
Third stop: a too-short stop to see my dear California crafting buddies (who always generously put us up at the wonderfully welcoming Casa Main-Milligan, and let me play with their papercrafting ‘toys!’) and a late breakfast with some friends of theirs who are now friends of ours.
Fourth stop: a few days with my newly-married daughter and her new husband and our ‘inherited’ new granddaughter! (Oh, and a trip to see The Mouse and a day in Los Angeles which included seeing Maleficent in 3D at the El Capitan Theater)
Last stop: a quiet work retreat and a visit with our dear, dear friends whom we met through motorcycling travel and who always open their wonderful beach-area home to us when we come to California.
Wow, now that I look at the list of activities and visits during the last week, no wonder I’m a bit tired!
But also so very thankful to have been able to make the trip back to California (where I’m from) to see everyone, and to work remotely while doing so.
Now, while I didn’t bring along my Thankful Thursdays journal (I had way too many other things to drag along and there just wasn’t room!), I do have a bunch of new entries for it when I get home. And then I’ll share!
And after this experience of getting caught up with those we love, I’ve decided that one of the sections of my journal will be reserved just for the people I’m thankful for.
And all of you will most definitely get an entry in that section!
Who and/or what are YOU thankful for?
Please share your Thankful Thursdays thoughts and/or papercrafting projects for this week.
To get the ball rolling, I’ll start:
- I’m very thankful for our medical insurance.
- I’m hugely grateful for all the wonderful people we have in our lives (including all of you!).
- I’m so thankful for the ability to travel and work remotely. Love it!
Now it’s your turn – please leave a comment letting us know what you’re thankful for.
You can list as many or as few items as you want to share, and as much detail as you feel comfortable including.
And, if you’re up for some papercrafting and want to share your journal/binder/notebook or whatever, please do – we’d all love to see it!
Remember, there’s no wrong or right way to do this and papercrafting is NOT required!
Thanks so much for joining in this week – welcome to the Thankful Thursdays club!
(Remember, we’re thinking about t-shirts and badges and we’d love to hear your ideas.)
Please join us again next Thursday as we share and tell again (I’ll be sharing my newest “people” entries then).
And, if you want to share how you’ll be tracking, documenting and/or papercrafting what you’re thankful for, please leave a link in the comments on this or any post – we’d love to see what you all come up with!
Oh, and in case you missed it…
The Be Thankful Project
What’s The Be Thankful Project?
I’m almost done with the new page on our site titled The Be Thankful Project where we’ll include, in an alphabetical list, what everyone shares during Thankful Thursdays.
The entries will be updated each week and will include what we at PCC share, as well as the thankful topics from all of the papercrafting projects and comments submitted.
We won’t be including names with what you all share, just adding the share topic to the list so others can check it out and use it as inspiration for their own “being thankful” endeavors.
We want to hear from you!
I’m so very thankful for our wonderful papercrafting community (way better than therapy!) and for each and every one of you – our continued success is largely because of all of you and we’re very thankful.
Thanks so much for joining us today – we can’t wait to hear – and see – what you’re thankful for!
