Papercrafting Gratitude: Thankful Thursdays – Week Six
Papercrafting Gratitude – We’re at it again!
Another week of focusing on what we’re thankful for – please join in and share what you’re most thankful for too!
Each week we’re dedicating time to express what we’re thankful for – “practicing” being thankful by dedicating time to reflect on what we’re thankful for, and sharing it during Thankful Thursdays.
And some of us are papercrafting our gratitude and sharing what we create, but it’s NOT a requirement for participation in Thankful Thursdays.
Please join in and invite your friends…the more the merrier!
For those who missed the
Thankful Thursdays | The Be Thankful Project launch post,
please check it out and then come on back and join in.
First, I’m thankful for how I’m feeling.
As I mentioned in the last Thankful Thursdays post, I had not been eating as healthy as I could have been, I’ve gained weight, I wasn’t doing anything physical and I was feeling pretty lousy.
I had had enough and decided it was time,
And now, after just two weeks of eating healthier, I feel so much better.
But not just better physically, better emotionally and psychologically too. Yay!
Most of the cravings (for sugar and carbs, mostly) are gone and I have much more energy.
And finally, I’ve been working out with weights every morning and walking in the evenings when I’m able to get away from my desk for a bit and it’s not too, too hot.
Steadily losing – down 3 pounds!
How about you, is eating healthy and/or getting exercise challenging for you?
A few of our papercrafters chimed in last week and said they were struggling with these same things, and they committed to making changes.
If anyone wants to join us in eating better, exercising more, losing weight or whatever your health goal is, we’d love for you to join our little “club!”
I’m also thankful for a wonderful Mom.
She’s been my cheerleader throughout my life and she’s always there when I need support, advice or a shoulder to cry on, and the first person (after my husband) whom I want to call with good news.
She’s always happy for me, no matter what she might think about what I’m up to, and raised me to know I could do anything I set my mind to. What a gift!
My mom is beautiful, creative, free-spirited, loyal and funny (when she wants to be ;)).
She can make something out of nothing (great food, lovely clothing and home decor, etc.), is always there for her friends (even when they don’t reciprocate) and she loves learning, something she focuses on daily.
I’m so very thankful for her and for all she has taught me, not by saying, but by doing.
My Mom will be the next entry in the People – Family section of my Thankful Thursdays journal!
And finally, I’m thankful for all the wonderful, free content available on the internet.
Say what you want about the online world, it is such a treasure in so many ways.
I have been taking some online classes and I am so enjoying the opportunity to learn new things (even if I have to do it in the middle of the night!).
An update on my Thankful Thursdays Journal…
I didn’t have a single free moment (check out our latest Get Organized post and you’ll know why!) to add to it this week, but I’ll be working on it again this weekend and I’ll share my new pages next week.
So, who and/or what are YOU thankful for?
Please share your Thankful Thursdays thoughts and/or papercrafting projects for this week – just leave a comment letting us know what you’re thankful for, and link to the project you created to honor it if you created one.
You can list as many or as few items as you want to share, and as much detail as you feel comfortable including.
there’s no wrong or right way to do this
and papercrafting is NOT required!
Thanks so much for joining in this week –
welcome to the Thankful Thursdays club!
No thoughts on Thankful Thursdays t-shirts and badges?
Come on, you guys have never been shy about sharing your thoughts!
We’d love to hear your ideas!
Please join us again next Thursday as we share and tell again.
And, if you want to share how you’ll be tracking, documenting and/or papercrafting what you’re thankful for, please leave a link in the comments on this or any post – we’d love to see what you all come up with!
Oh, and in case you missed it…
The Be Thankful Project
What’s The Be Thankful Project?
We’re adding a new page on our site titled The Be Thankful Project where we’ll include, in an alphabetical list, what everyone shares during Thankful Thursdays.
The page WILL be finished and live this weekend…hopefully?
The entries on this page will be updated each week and will include what we at PCC share, as well as the thankful topics from all of the papercrafting projects and comments submitted.
We won’t be including names with what you all share, just adding the share topic to the list so others can check it out and use it as inspiration for their own “being thankful” endeavors.
We want to hear from you!
So thankful for all of you and for the freedom we’ll be celebrating tomorrow, July 4th.
I hope y’all have a great celebration and a lovely weekend.
