Let’s see what our papercrafters came up with this week…

Jennifer Taylor

Week 64 Submission by Jennifer Taylor

Jennifer (a Magazine Mondays newbie, yay!) created a fun school-themed scrapbook page based on last week’s magazine cover.

She included shots of her daughter, a certificate and some really cute owls.

We love having newbies like Jennifer join in our challenge and hope she’s just the first of many more!

Of course, we adore our “regulars” too, some of whom you’ll see entries from below!

Be sure to stop by Jennifer’s blog to check out what else she likes to create.

Shari (another Magazine Mondays newbie, yay!) created a lovely card that could be used for most any occasion.

She incorporated the colors from our inspiration piece and added some buttons from her stash (love it when we are able to use up some of our stash, right ladies?!)

I love the many layers she added – there’s lots for our eyes to enjoy!

Be sure to stop by Shari’s blog to learn all about her.

Week 64 Submission by jpscraps

Jpscraps created a very pretty card that this butterfly lover really likes.

She incorporated colors like those in our magazine cover and did a nice job of showcasing the butterfly.

I love how she layered the die cuts – the stacked colors leads one’s eye right to the focal point!

Week 64 Submission by Suzi M.

Suzi created a fun, fun card for her 45th wedding anniversary.

She incorporated the bus from our inspiration magazine, but a different type of bus – a London double-decker!

I love the dotted black cardstock she added in the background that mimics a road and the playful font she included for the card’s sentiment.

Be sure to stop by Suzi’s blog to read all about this card and why it’s perfect for an anniversary card for her hubby of 45 years.

Jennie created a card that’s both pretty and cute.

She intends to give this card to those who better the world by being an educator. Here, here!

I love the layering and the way she colored in the bus with non-traditional colors.

Nancy created a colorful back-to-school card that any student or teacher would smile at receiving.

She incorporated lots of products and colors, and even metal!

I love that cute little scooter in the foreground – I sooooo need a vintage scooter!

Week 64 Submissions by Sandy W.

Sandy created a bunch of items!

She had an idea in mind that would incorporate the bus shown above, but was having “technical difficulties” with her Silhouette so she opted to create a two-page Halloween spread instead.

Well, that led to another two-page Halloween spread.

Then she realized what the issue had been with the Silhouette and she went back and cut out the bus.

I love how Sandy shifted gears when her first idea didn’t work out, and how she got inspired to create more once she got started.

But I really love that she was determined to resolve the issue with her Silhouette (we will not be defeated, right kids?!) – you go girl!

Be sure to stop by Sandy’s blog to hear all about her trials and how she went about creating her submissions.

And Sandy, we’re holding you to your commitment to sharing the layout about your bus when you’ve finished it. (Confession: I have always wanted to buy a bus and convert it into a travel rig – you’ve inspired that dream to resurface!)

What is Magazine Mondays All About?

It’s an (almost) weekly dose of papercrafting inspiration courtesy of magazines. We’ll be offering you peaks at their covers, pages, topics, colors and type in hopes of inspiring you to create. And, most importantly, it’s a chance for you to show off your papercraft creations and win fun papercrafting prizes!

PaperCrafter’s Corner (PCC)
has been known for being a papercrafting information resource (store, event, retreat and kit club directories; industry news; product roundups, etc.) and provider of entertainment (product sneak peeks, challenges, giveaways, etc.). Now we want to become your number-one source of inspiration…more specifically, papercrafting inspiration!

Magazine Mondays – How To Play Along

Most every Monday we’ll post a magazine here on our blog and encourage you to use it as inspiration to create something of your very own. You’ll create something (ANYTHING papercrafted) and add a comment on the blog post, including a link to your inspired papercraft creation, before midnight (central time, GMT-6) the following Sunday.

We’ll “pin” each week’s magazine – as well as everyone’s creations – to our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board to provide even more inspiration for our community. And, we’ll link to all the creations from our Facebook page so everyone following our Facebook timeline will see the creations our community has shared!

And the best part?

One lucky winner
(chosen randomly from all entries received by midnight [central time, GMT-6]
of the Sunday following the inspiration piece posting)
will receive a prize for participating!

And, the winner will get to see her/his papercraft creation
called out as ***THE WINNER***
on our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board!

Important Note:

This papercrafting challenge is not just open to cards or scrapbook layouts (which have both been popular entry categories), but to ALL papercrafted creations!

How about creating something for your home or office or as a gift? Whether you like to make home decor items, work in your art journal, create “repurposed” projects out of paper products, make cards, enjoy creating scrapbook layouts, or prefer book-binding, quilling or origami, or some other form of papercrafting, it’s all welcome!

Love the current week’s inspiration for a Project Life or 365 entry or page? Create and enter that!

The ONLY requirements for entering the Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge (at this time) is that your entry must be a papercraft project – it must somehow incorporate paper – and it must be linked to before the deadline.

Play along and Good Luck!

Steph
