Last week’s edition of our papercrafting challenge,
Magazine Mondays – Week 41,
inspired some very creative creations!

For those who may have missed last week’s challenge post,

here’s a quick look at last week’s inspiration piece:

Last week’s challenge had a bit of a twist to it -

our papercrafters were required to incorporate

at least a piece of a magazine in their creation!

Let’s check out the fun creations
our talented papercrafters created…

Week 41 Submission by Anne T.

Ann created a wonderful collage!

She was inspired by the light and dark colors and shades in the inspiration piece and focused her efforts on placing black and white and shaded images onto her canvas.

There were some happy “coincidences” in her piece…

…be sure to stop by Anne’s blog and check out what these “coincidences” were and what else she made!

Cathy created a lovely, gold thank-you card inspired by this week’s inspiration piece.

Her card is perfectly aligned with this year’s trend toward gold accents!

Be sure to check out Cathy’s blog to see how she made her card.

Jpscraps created a very colorful art journal page, one that most definitely incorporated at least “a piece” of a magazine, as required.

Can you guess where she used the magazine piece?

I think you’re gonna be really impressed when you find out what she did!

Click on the image of her page to enlarge it and take a look at the second image – wow!!!

Be sure to stop by jpscraps’ blog to see what went into her “crazy” project!

Jean created a wonderful art journal page featuring the “grid” she saw in the inspiration piece.

Love all the layers!

Jean didn’t incorporate at least a piece of a magazine in her creation so it didn’t qualify for this week’s prize and bonus, but we still wanted to share it with you.

Be sure to visit Jean’s blog and check out all of her other papercrafted projects!

Missed out on this week’s challenge?

It’s never too late to create and/or submit an entry!
(It just won’t be eligible for the prize drawing unless it’s submitted by the deadline.)

And, this week’s winner is…

jpscraps!

Please join me in congratulating

jpscraps!

Did you miss out on playing along this week?

No worries, there’s always next week!

And, if you subscribe to our daily newsletter,

you’ll receive an emailed reminder every week,

when the new inspiration piece is posted.

Plus, you’ll always be up-to-date
on the latest and greatest in the papercrafting industry
and never miss a fun giveaway!

Want to know how to play along this week?

It’s easy:

  • Go create something – any papercraft project – based on this week’s inspiration piece (this week’s inspiration piece will be posted on Monday, 3/3, by 10 p.m. [central, GMT-6]).
  • Come back to this week’s post and leave a comment, including a link to where you’ve posted your papercraft creation, before midnight (central, GMT-6) on Saturday, 3/8.
  • Check back often to see what others have created and posted (and show your fellow papercrafters love by commenting on their creations!)

We’ll be checking the comment section of this week’s blog post daily for comments and links to papercrafting goodness, and we’ll pin all the creations to our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board and link to them on our Facebook page so everyone can be inspired. (Note: be sure your papercraft creation is not blocked from being pinned if you want it added to our board; we cannot pin images from Flickr nor can we add the actual image to the Winner blog post on PCC – we will link to them on Flickr.)

Then, on Sunday, 3/9, we’ll randomly choose one participant from this week’s papercraft entries to receive a fun prize!

And, their winning entry will be the called out as ***THE WINNER*** on our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board!

Happy papercrafting!

Steph

What is Magazine Mondays All About?

It’s a weekly dose of papercrafting inspiration courtesy of magazines.

We’ll be offering you peaks at their covers, pages, topics, colors and type in hopes of inspiring you to create.

And, most importantly, it’s a chance for you to show off your papercraft creations and win fun papercrafting prizes!

PaperCrafter’s Corner (PCC)
has been known for being a papercrafting information resource (store, event, retreat and kit club directories; industry news; product roundups, etc.) and provider of entertainment (product sneak peeks, challenges, giveaways, etc.).

Now we want to become your number-one source of inspiration…more specifically, papercrafting inspiration!

Magazine Mondays – How To Play Along

Each Monday we’ll post a magazine here on our blog and encourage you to use it as inspiration to create something of your very own.

You’ll create something (ANYTHING papercrafted) and add a comment on the blog post, including a link to your inspired papercraft creation, before midnight (central time, GMT-6) the following Saturday.

We’ll “pin” each week’s magazine – as well as everyone’s creations – to our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board to provide even more inspiration for our community.

And, we’ll link to all the creations from our Facebook page so everyone following our Facebook timeline will see the creations our community has shared!

And the best part?

One lucky winner
(chosen randomly from all entries received by midnight [central time, GMT-6]
of the Saturday following the inspiration piece posting)
will receive a prize for participating!

And, the winner will get to see her/his papercraft creation
called out as ***THE WINNER***
on our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board!

Important Note:

This papercrafting challenge is not just open to cards or scrapbook layouts (which have both been popular entry categories), but to ALL papercrafted creations!

How about creating something for your home or office or as a gift?

Whether you like to make home decor items, work in your art journal, create “repurposed” projects out of paper products, make cards, enjoy creating scrapbook layouts, or prefer book-binding, quilling or origami, or some other form of papercrafting, it’s all welcome!

Love this week’s inspiration for a Project Life or 365 entry or page? Create and enter that!

The ONLY requirements for entering the Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge (at this time) is that your entry must be a papercraft project – it must somehow incorporate paper – and it must be linked to before the deadline.

Play along and Good Luck!

Steph
