What do we have in store for you this week?
Something very different from the last two inspiration pieces.
Presenting this week’s papercrafting inspiration:
Papercrafting Inspiration – Magazine Mondays: Week Three
Whether you choose to create something using…
- the colors
- the layout
- the number of photos or blocks
- or with a vertically-oriented headline or blocks of text
…we’re sure you’ll find a way to make this inspiration piece your own.
Not sure how to use this cover as inspiration for your papercraft project? Simply leave a comment (link above) and we’ll do our best to assist you.
We look forward to seeing your week-three creations!
Last week I received an emailed question about the types of projects that could be entered into the Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge – specifically, if scrapbook layouts were o.k.
The answer is “yes!” We would love to see scrapbook layouts!
But, this papercrafting challenge is not just open to cards (like those you’ve seen entered the last couple weeks) or scrapbook layouts (which I think this week’s inspiration piece will inspire some of you to make), but to ALL papercraft creations!
Whether you like to make home decor items, work in your art journal, create “repurposed” projects out of paper products, make cards, enjoy creating scrapbook layouts, or prefer book-binding, quilling or origami, or some other form of papercrafting, it’s all welcome! Love this week’s inspiration for a Project Life or 365 entry or page?
Create and enter ANYTHING made with paper!
The ONLY requirement for entering the Magazine Mondays papercrafting challenge (at this time) is that your entry must be a papercrafting project – it must somehow incorporate paper.
Playing along with this challenge is easy:
- Go create something – any papercraft project – based on this week’s inspiration above
- Come back to this post and leave a comment, including a link to where you’ve posted your papercraft creation
- Check back often to see what others have created and posted
- Check the blog Friday afternoon to see if you won!
We’ll be checking the comment section of this blog post daily for comments and links, and we’ll pin all the papercraft creations to our Papercraft – Magazine Mondays Pinterest board and link to them on our Facebook page at the end of the week so everyone can be inspired. (Note: be sure your creation is not blocked from being pinned if you want it added to our board.)
Then, on Friday morning, we’ll randomly choose one participant from that week’s entries to receive a fun papercrafting prize!
And, their winning entry will be the cover image for our Papercraft – Magazine Mondays Pinterest board until the next magazine inspiration piece is posted the following Monday, and will forever* live in our Facebook timeline!
*As long as Facebook exists and we have a page!
Have a great evening everyone and happy creating!
What is Magazine Mondays All About?
It’s a weekly dose of papercrafting inspiration courtesy of magazines. We’ll be offering you peaks at their covers, pages, topics, colors and type in hopes of inspiring you to create.
And, most importantly, it’s a chance for you to show off your papercraft creations and win fun prizes!
PaperCrafter’s Corner (PCC) has been known for being a papercrafting information resource (store, event, retreat and kit club directories; industry news; product roundups, etc.) and provider of entertainment (product sneak peeks, challenges, giveaways, etc.).
Now we want to become your number-one source of inspiration…more specifically, papercrafting inspiration!
Magazine Mondays – How To Play Along
Each Monday we’ll post a magazine here on our blog and encourage you to use it as inspiration to create something of your very own. Then, we’ll invite you to add a comment on the blog post, including a link to your inspired papercraft creation.
We’ll “pin” each week’s magazine – as well as everyone’s creations – to our Papercraft – Magazine Mondays Pinterest board to provide even more papercrafting inspiration for our community.
And, we’ll link to your creations from our Facebook page so everyone following our Facebook timeline will see the creations our community has shared!
And the best part?
One lucky winner (chosen randomly) will receive a papercrafting prize for participating!
And, the winner will get to see her/his creation on the cover of our Magazine Mondays Pinterest board until the next magazine inspiration is posted!
Play along and Good Luck!
