Inspired by …. CHA Summer 2012 & Teresa Collins’ Vintage Finds Collection

CHA Summer 2012 brought us a visual overload of fabulous new collections, products, patterns, ideas, color combinations and more. So much to look forward to as those NEW collections slowly begin appearing at our favorite retailers!

BUT:  You don’t have to WAIT to use the inspiration provided last week!

This week, the PaperCrafter’s Corner Creative Squad members are picking one of their FAVORITE collections from CHA Summer 2012 and using it as INSPIRATION. They are creating NEW and inspired projects, using products from their stash.

First up this week, we have Sarah Webb who was inspired by the new Teresa Collins collection, Vintage Finds. Here are some images from the collection that have so inspired Sarah …

The Inspiration: Teresa Collins Vintage Finds

And a few close-ups of some the pieces that were particularly inspiring to Sarah ….

The Inspired Project

The below  layout was created with materials from Sarah’s “stash” but it combines many of the design elements from the NEW Teresa Collins Vintage Finds collection. Sarah will probably end up buying Vintage Finds once it hits stores, but until then, she was able to take her inspiration and run with it!

Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill (yellow, grey), American Crafts (kraft); paper: Hambly (kraft and grey), My Mind’s Eye (yellow/cream), Crate Paper (pink); Washi, alpha, brads, & tags -American Crafts;  wood veneer stars -Studio Calico;  transparency -Teresa Collins (circa 2008);  key -Colorbok;  twine -The Twinery;  border punch -Fiskars

Beautiful work, Sarah!

Sarah says: “Yellow and Grey/Black is such a classic combination. What I like about the new Teresa Collins ‘Vintage Finds Collection’ is the variation of kraft / khaki as well as cream in the base. I mixed a variety of lines that included the colours and embellishments in the collection. (I also added a pop of red bring my own style to the page.)”

Your turn!

What NEW collections inspired shared last week were particularly inspiring to you? I hope you’ll follow Sarah’s lead …. and use that inspiration to create something NOW!

Stay tuned. We’ll have more CHA Summer 2012 Inspired projects throughout the week :)
