Background: If you happen to read a lot of manuafacturer blogs (like I do) or follow the industry a little closely, you may have noticed that Tattered Angels has a relationship with Heidi Swapp- who brought a lot of her ideas from her old Advantus Resistables line to Tattered Angels this past year. You may have also heard of House of 3 – an originally digital (now hybrid) company started by Rhonna Farrer, Heidi Swapp, and Janet Hopkins. They designed a physical product line for Pink Paislee this past year. And, of course, you may have noticed the synergistic relationship between TA and Prima- their DTs have partnered up before and we have probably all realized how much fun it is to spray our Prima flowers with Glimmer Mist.
The Update: Well, all 4 companies have gotten together to create a new line of products under the name 'Color Connections'. Tattered Angels has created 4-packs of one ounce bottles of glimmer mist. Each set of colors was designated as favorites of (and co-branded with) PP, P, or Hof3. They have also designed a couple sets of colors specifically to match Pink Paislee's 2 upcoming lines designed by Hof3. And, those colors are brighter and way more saturated than most colors we have seen from TA before. But, here is my favorite part – the companies have gotten together to create new Mistables!!
During the live video introduction to this new line last night, they sneaked a peek at Prima's 12×12 canvas sheets that are blank on one-side for LOs and printed on the other side with shapes to cut out and layer. And all that canvas is specifically designed to be used with TA's glimmer mist, chalkboard mist, glaze, or glam products. The flowers one of their designers created were really beautiful and realistic looking. And, there was a hint from Pink Paislee that perhaps their new line will include Felt Flowers that are equally mistable! Here is one example Prima posted to their blog
Just think about the possibilities- blank canvas, and cream felt flowers that can be transformed quickly and easily into any color in your TA collection….. or, for that matter, with inks & media from competing manufacturers 😉
If you want to watch the sneak peeks yourself, you can see the recording from last night's UStream show here: Heidi, Rhonna and Wendy present… But I'm warning you it's at least an hour long 🙂
