Papercrafting Products Videos from CHA’s MegaShow 2016
Papercrafting product walk-thru’s and demos, and chats with designers, oh my!

Yup, it’s that time of year again!

It’s time to share walk-thru’s and demos, and time spent with your favorite artists and designers, from the craft industry’s annual Craft and Hobby Association’s MegaShow (#CHAShow2016), which took place in Anaheim, California (USA) January 7-12, 2016.

Welcome to the CHA MegaShow - Winter (January) 2016 - Anaheim, CA, USA (image)

Welcome to the CHA MegaShow – Winter (January) 2016 – Anaheim, CA, USA

We’re back from CA and just wrapped up the process of downloading, editing, titling, uploading, tagging and writing the descriptions for the 21 videos Steph shot at this event!

We’re ready to give you another “insider” peek into the industry’s largest, U.S.-based trade event for crafting (and more specifically, papercrafting!) – ready to be inspired?

The five days Steph spent at this annual craft industry event – the Craft and Hobby Association‘s Mega Show – attending business sessions, checking out manufacturers’ workshops, chatting with other industry folks (and celeb spotting) and walking the show floor from one end to the other (multiple times so nothing was missed!), were captured “on film,” and there are not just videos to shares, but more than 1k pix too!

And we promise this is MUCH better than sitting through Uncle Milt’s vacation slides or home movies – these videos, and the 1000+ photos shot, are so much more fun and interesting ’cause they’re all about papercrafting and being inspired to create!

Since this event is not open to the general public, this is a chance for YOU to take a peek inside and see what goes on “behind the scenes” through the lenses of Steph’s cameras.

This is about showing you the stuff that makes us all ooh and aah, the fab NEW papercrafting goodies that’ll soon be making their way to your favorite local papercrafting stores, and the amazing projects your favorite artists and designers have created with them!

And the best aspect of the videos WE shot? You’ll find some unique content – tips and tricks shared in response to attendee questions, philosophical shares about what creating means to the artist being filmed, funny tidbits and more!

Steph’s focus was, of course, on all the new papercrafting products, but she always checks out products for all sorts of creative and crafting pursuits and she works hard to find and share something you might not see anywhere else.

This year’s “hot” finds?

You’ll just have to check out our videos and photo galleries to see if YOU can spot them!

Steph had pre-event meetings with potential business partners and then once the event was underway, she got busy with:

  • popping into some of the business sessions and workshops to see and capture what was being shared and/or created;
  • visiting 100+ booths (where her video camera and DSLR were always active!);
  • attending fun media and invitation-only events;
  • and, running into and catching up with old industry friends, as well as making some new ones!

And, she was one of three industry representatives invited to participate in a CHA Wrap-Up video series shot on-site – stay tuned for links to those wrap-up videos as well!

The “recorded proof” of this whirlwind five days is just a click away!

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Frame Front Organizer Cube (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Photo Frame Door Organizer Cube

Organizing Solution #1: Photo Frame Door Organizer Cube
How fun is this NEW organizing cube?!

Just think of the display possibilities – you can easily display your scrapbook layouts, Gelli prints, art journal pages, Zentangle creations, doodles or coloring book pages, and so much more!

Into needle arts?

Why not place your latest cross-stitch or embroidered creation in the door opening and use the display to indicate that that’s where you have your needle arts supplies stored?

This would also be great for displaying kids’ artwork and could remind them where their arts and crafts supplies are located.

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Memo Board Door Organizer Cube (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Memo Board Door Organizer Cube

Organizing Solution #2: Memo Board Door Organizer Cube
And how fabulous is this new organizing unit?!

I’d love to fill the door with the Go-Organize.com Magnetic Canisters filled with my favorite embellishments, sorted by color!

And how about you, what would you store on the door?

Think not just about all sorts of papercrafting embellishments (wood veneers, eyelets and brads, sequins, enamel dots, etc.) and cut apart adhesive dots and squares, but also about beading and jewelry-making supplies, and sewing and quilting notions and more!

Tie what’s on the outside (sewing notions) to what’s stored inside (fabrics) and you’ll have an instant visual reminder so you don’t have to struggle to find what you’re looking for!

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube

Organizing Solution #3: 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube
And now for something really unique!

This NEW vertically-oriented drawer unit (pictured above) utilizes horizontal and vertical space in a very efficient manner.

Take a look at the last, or bottom, drawer (pictured just below) – what a great way to store your inking tools and stains or paints, but also those fun roller stamps we all love and bottles of mists too!

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube - Last/Bottom Drawer (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube – Last/Bottom Drawer

The center/middle drawer (shown below) is ideally suited for organizing and storing those items that need a bit of a lip on the shelf to keep them from toppling out – think punches, bottles and jars, including the Go-Organize.com Plastic Containers (pictured on the top shelf in the image below).

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube - Middle Drawer (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com 3-Drawer (Vertical) Multi-Function Organizer Cube – Middle Drawer

And the first/top drawer (shown below) is ideally suited to storing your many ink pads.

Or, how about ATC or other small specialty cardstock, or flat containers (like re-purposed tins) filled with your favorite crafting items!

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Beading & Ribbons Organizer (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Beading & Ribbons Organizer

Organizing Solution #4: Beading And Ribbons Organizer
The Beading & Ribbons Organizer (shown above) offers a great way to store your favorite ribbons and small containers for crafting in more than one location.

Whether you travel to crafting events or simply need to cart your supplies around your home, the handles make it easy to take this gem, and your stored supplies, with you!

And note the small “footprint” of this storage option – this would be great in a narrow, ‘left-over’ space on your crafting work surface, in a craft closet or even under your craft table.

Check this unit out further by clicking here: Beading & Ribbons Organizer

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Ink Pads & Ribbons Organizer (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Ink Pads & Ribbons Organizer

Organizing Solution #5: Ink Pads & Ribbons Organizer
Think about unused wall space in your craft room, or narrow gaps in a crafting closet, and then envision how sweetly this unit would fit there!

Of course it would also work well on a horizontal work surface where space is at a premium – this unit has a nice small footprint!

If you’re a cardmaker, the Ink Pads & Ribbons Organizer provides you with visually appealing and accessible storage for keeping supplies you use most often right at hand – talk about productive crafting time!

And if ribbon’s not your thing, what about washi tape – the hanging bar could be used for that too!

And who doesn’t love seeing their washi addiction (uh, I mean collection) on display?! 😉

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Drawer Dividers (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Drawer Dividers

Organizing Solution #6: Drawer Dividers
If you’re a fan of the Go-Organize storage cubes, it’s likely you’re going to flip out over these!

Whether you prefer the Go-Organize cubes with drawers, cubes with shelves or their open cubes, these Drawer Dividers are a wonderful way to divide the space and keep the items stored inside the cube units neat and tidy!

Of course they could be used in most any drawers that are big enough to accommodate them, as well as on their own or in large travel cases.

I’m so glad they are sellling these separately now!

Check out the Drawer Dividers further by clicking here: Drawer Dividers

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Hanging Rods & Hooks (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Hanging Rods & Hooks

Organizing Solution #7: Hanging Rods & Hooks
Yippee!

That’s what I said when I saw these in the new product information I received from Go-Organize.com!

I am a big fan of hanging items in wasted spaces (and especially in hanging supplies and tools like scissors, rulers, stencils and templates) and these are ideal for that purpose!

Not only can they be hung from walls, but they can be mounted to any of the Go-Organize.com cubes or shelf units AND they can be connected end-to-end to provide you with long bars for storing items like punches, as well as large collections of quilting rulers and templates, and papercrafting tools and mixed media stencils, and so much more!

Check out these cool storage items further by clicking here: Hanging Rods & Hooks

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com Peg Board Hooks (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com Peg Hooks

Organizing Solution #8: Peg Hooks
Another great accessory addition for the Go-Organize.com storage product line-up!

If you’re a fan of the Go-Organize Peg Boards, then it’s likely you’ll want to get your hands on at least a few packs of these.

Hook them into the Peg Boards and hang your favorite crafting tools right above your craft space work for super productive crafting time!

And think about these for keeping your newest papercrafting products on view, where you’re more likely to see and use them!

Check these out further by clicking here: Peg Hooks

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com 4-Cubby Organizer Cube (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com 4-Cubby Organizer Cube

Organizing Solution #9: 4-Cubby Organizer Cube
While this unit above (and the 9-Cubby Organizer Cube pictured below) is not officially a “craft storage” item, I think both of them could be great additions to any craft space!

Whether you have small pads of paper, baskets of scraps, jars of embellishments or ribbons, or fat quarters for quilting and sewing projects, the cubbies in these two units will make quick work of keeping your crafting stash neat and organized and easily accessible so you can spend less time hunting for supplies and more time using them!

Check out this unit further by clicking here: 4-Cubby Organizer Cube

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases - Go-Organize.com 9-Cubby Organizer Cube (image)

Papercrafting Organization: Product Releases – Go-Organize.com 9-Cubby Organizer Cube

Organizing Solution #10: 9-Cubby Organizer Cube
As mentioned above, these cubby units are ideal for keeping like items sorted and visible.

If you’re a ‘have to see it to remember you have it‘ kind of crafter, then consider either this 9-Cubby Organizer Cube or the 4-Cubby Organizer Cube for your craft space.

Got kids who love arts and crafts?

These two cubby units are ideal for storing baskets or bins of kids’ crafting supplies too!
