Here’s an inside peek for our friends at PaperCrafter’s Corner.

Two New Power® Palettes
In March, we’re releasing two brand new Power® Palettes – Divine and Enchanted. The brown, black, silver and white neutrals of Divine give a classic sepia flavor to formal photos like weddings. And the natural designs and bright pops of color make Enchanted so much fun to play with. But you’ve really got to get your hands on these and take a closer look at some of the details! Look at the foil accents on the papers and epoxy stickers. And check out the embossed paper and die-cut adhesive ribbons (in Enchanted) and the blingy little rhinestone epoxy stickers in both palettes.

Oh, and March is a great time to jump on any of our Power® Palettes since they’re all on sale, all month long! A traditional Power® Palette System is just $49 – for the whole thing! And you can pick up a Digital Power Palette for just $7.67.

Cricut®
We love working with our friends at Provo Craft. And in March, we’re stepping out with another exclusive cartridge that’s compatible with all Cricut® machines and the Gypsy® device! The Divine Wedding Cartridge coordinates perfectly with the pieces in our Divine Power® Palette. (And if you haven’t yet seen the This & That Cartridge we introduced earlier this year, it’s definitely worth a look!)

Prima Spring 2012 International Teaching Tour

As you know, we love to help paper crafters find out about cool events to attend. These days, that’s usually limited to events here in the continental US, though we do aspire to grow. Today I’m thrilled to share some info about an upcoming class tour from Prima that will have them visiting parts of Europe & Israel!

Check it out …

Some of the classes they’ll be teaching will include the fabulous new Almanac collection, which is one of my absolute faves from this most recent CHA.

You can learn more about the Prima tour here. From the sound of things, they would totally be willing to add a few stops to the tour if there was enough demand so if they aren’t coming to your store and you’re now too far away from another stop, get your store owner to contact them!

CHA Winter 2012: Share Your Photo Recaps – Linky Party!

Everyone sees CHA through a different lens. We attend the show as bloggers, designers, manufacturers, retailers, artists, buyers and friends of the aforementioned ;)

I shared my CHA photo recap yesterday here, but I’d love to see yours too! I’ll add some photo recaps from manufacturers as I run across them, but I invite you to share yours in a linky-party type format below!

Thanks for linking!! We request that you include a link to this post via your blog if at all possible. After all, we want to connect & share these photos with everyone in the paper crafting community!

CHA Winter 2012: A Photo Recap from the Pep Rally

Hi Team!

Your paper crafting cheerleader had a GREAT time at CHA (The Craft & Hobby Association semi-annual tradeshow)! The show isn’t over until tomorrow (Wednesday), but hey — you know how it goes… it’s hard to carve out budget & time to be away that long!  This was the first CHA that I haven’t worked full-time with a manufacturer in a while, so I can’t tell you how much fun it was to run around, meet up with old friends, laugh, giggle, stalk celebs, eat overpriced convention center food, and absorb the energy of the show.

The official CHA – Hangover is lurking and may attack at any moment. (I provided the official medical definition of a CHA hangover after the last show here.) Therefore, I’d better go ahead & share with you my photos & comments from the show while I can :) This is just a tiny portion of what there was to see and experience there. Friends, colleagues, bloggers, designers, manufacturers & frenemies are providing coverage all over the place! So I know you’ll find other samplings to fill-in the gaps. Here’s what I was able to capture for my home team … (slideshow below)

My partner-in-crime for the trip (ScrapItGirl) took loads of photos as well, and we hope to share a look through her camera lens later this week. Until then, go team PCC!

Tattered Angels Acquired by Canvas Corp

Tattered Angels announced yesterday their “new home” with Canvas Corp!

Tattered Angels (makers of the popular glimmer mists, etc) has long been a consumer favorite in the crafting industry. Despite their consumer success, the brand has had rumored operational and financial difficulties. As seen with other recent acquisitions in the industry, this new relationship will provide the Tattered Angels brand the operational and financial support needed to continue to provide their loyal, passionate fans the products they love.

Tattered Angels found Wendy Senger will “continue to lead the creative process for Tattered Angels, as well as, become a part of the Canvas Corp creative team. Also, the Tattered Angels design team will “continue their mission of brand education.”

Canvas Corp acquired Bagworks, a fabric cut and sew company, in the summer of 2011. They then made a big splash in December 2011 when they acquired the popular 7gypsies brand (announced here on PCC.) With this latest acquisition, they are on their way to becoming the mixed media fans creative dream! I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Canvas Corp family!
