Do you have access to a local scrapbook store (lss)? If so, count yourself as LUCKY!!
Here in Atlanta, we are severely lacking in a LSS. Though we have plenty of "Big Box" stores, all the local places (except a stamping-centric store) have closed. The closest LSS to me is about 1.5 hours away. It's a fabulous store & worth the drive ….. but not exactly on my way home from work 🙂
The one place here in Atlanta that bridges the gap for me is Archiver's. While not strictly a LSS (they are a multi-state chain) Archivers IS focused exclusively on paper crafters, has knowledgeable staff members, offers a widely varied product selection (that you won't find at the big box), and they offer weekend crops and lots of classes.
Currently, Archivers has locations predominantly in Middle America- with a few stores scattered further East, West, and south (18 states in all)- so 34 states are missing out.
Archiver's announced on their blog Friday that they now have an online store!!! While that won't help with classes and crops, it is a great opportuntiy for Archiver's to introduce themselves to new customers and for those customers to have another option for their scrapbooking shopping. Hopefully, this will allow for the eventual expansion of physical storefronts into new markets- especially those without a LSS.
If you wish to check out their new store, it can be found here : Archiver's Annex
What do you think about the Archivers expansion into online sales?
